Aegis Expands Its Team with Three New Additions

We are thrilled to welcome three new hires with extensive experience to support our growing business. These seasoned professionals are true industry veterans, and we are excited to have them onboard. Each brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise that will play a key role in driving our growth and success.

Patrick Smith - Director of Operations

Patrick joins Aegis as Director of Operations, bringing 21 years of distinguished service in the U.S. Navy, where he served in the Naval Construction Force, Navy Recruiting Command, and Navy Special Warfare. His leadership and expertise in operations, construction management, project management, and logistics will be key to driving efficiencies and streamlining processes at Aegis. Patrick’s strategic vision and operational prowess will ensure that Aegis continues to grow and deliver exceptional results. As a member of the Executive Committee at Aegis, Patrick will collaborate with fellow committee members to strengthen the Aegis brand and expand our market share. Patrick is married to Cindy, and they have two children, Austin and Addison.

Jason Steins - Sales and Estimating Representative

With over 30 years in the construction industry, Jason brings diverse and valuable expertise to our team. He will initially serve as Sales and Estimating Representative for Aegis before expanding his role to support our sister brand, Eurostar Fenestration. Jason holds residential and commercial general contractor licenses in South Carolina, and his background includes the launch of a successful roofing business in 2014. In addition to sharing the Steins name, his connection with Aegis dates back to 2001 when, after relocating from New York where he managed a custom window and door business, he established the window and door division of then-Aegis Holdings. Jason’s knowledge and experience in windows and doors will be particularly valuable as he supports the Eurostar brand in the near future.

Matthew Borton - Sales and Estimating Representative

Matt brings 35 years of construction industry experience to the Aegis team. Having originally joined us when we were Stillwater Products in 2004, Matt has maintained a relationship with our company throughout the years, serving as our lead fabricator and shop manager until 2017. With his extensive background in welding, fabrication, project management, and sales, we know Matt's return to our team as a Sales & Estimating Representative will bring valuable expertise and historical knowledge of our operations. His diverse skillset will allow him to contribute across multiple areas of the business. During his free time, Matt enjoys mountain biking and fishing.
